The Real School ("the App", "we", "us") is a free life skills education platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain, readable form.
Usage Information: We store your course progress, quiz scores, certificates earned, and books you've unlocked or read, so you can pick up where you left off.
Communications: If you use our messaging features (direct messages, the community chat), we store the content of those messages and the names/emails of the people involved, so conversations can be displayed to you.
Optional Information: If you submit a review or testimonial, we store your name, email, star rating, and review text. If you were referred by another user, we record that relationship to support our referral program.
Device Information: If you enable push notifications, we store a device-specific subscription token so we can deliver notifications to you. This token does not identify you personally beyond your account.

Your name and email may be visible to other users you interact with directly — for example, in direct messages, friend requests, or community chat. Your profile and earned certificates are only visible to users you have accepted as friends.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your stored personal data from our systems. Messages you've sent to other users may remain visible to the recipient even after account deletion, consistent with how messaging works on most platforms.
The Real School is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
